System replacements

AC, Furnace & Heat-Pump Replacement in NJ

When a system is 12–15 years old and the repair bills start stacking up, replacing it usually costs less over a couple of summers than nursing it along. We'll tell you honestly whether you're at that point.

A replacement is only as good as the install. We do a proper load calculation instead of just matching the old box, so your new equipment runs quieter, dries the air better, and doesn't short-cycle your money out the window.

The install matters as much as the equipment

Why right-sizing matters

An oversized AC cools the air fast but shuts off before it pulls the humidity out — so the house feels clammy and the compressor wears out early. An undersized one runs forever on the hottest days. We measure the home and match the equipment to it, which is the difference between a system that lasts 15 years and one that frustrates you for 15 years.

Heat pumps are surging in New Jersey on efficiency incentives and rebates. If it fits your home, we'll lay out the option so you can compare it against a traditional AC-and-furnace replacement.

What homeowners say

Real Bel Air projects across NJ & NY. (Owner to confirm before launch.)

“Bel Air has done the HVAC on every home I've put up for the last four years. Their bids come back fast, the rough-ins pass inspection, and they're never the trade holding up my schedule. That's worth more to a builder than a low price.”
George Builder, Monmouth County
“We hired Bel Air for the HVAC across a full run of new homes. Same crew, same quality on every unit, and Valera priced the whole project off the plans up front so there were no surprises. We keep calling them back.”
Solo Builders Developer, NJ
“Our heat died at 5 in the morning in the middle of a cold snap with two little kids in the house. I left a message and got a callback right away — they had us warm again that same day. I won't use anyone else now.”
Danielle R. Homeowner, Howell

FAQ

HVAC replacement — common questions

No fine print. If you don't see your question here, just call or send a note — we answer honestly, including when the right answer is "you don't need that."

How much does AC replacement cost in NJ?

For most New Jersey homes, a full central-air replacement runs roughly $7,000–$13,000 depending on the size of the home, the efficiency of the equipment, and whether ductwork or a furnace are part of the job. A high-efficiency or heat-pump system sits at the upper end but can qualify for rebates. We give a firm written estimate after we measure the home — no guessing off the phone.

Do you do HVAC for new construction?

Yes — new construction is our specialty. We design and install complete heating and cooling systems for new homes, developments, additions and light-commercial build-outs across New Jersey and New York. Send us your plans and we'll get you a firm bid you can put in a contract, usually within a few days.

What brands do you install?

We're an authorized dealer for Rheem, Ruud and Goodman, and we install and service all other major brands as well — Trane, Lennox, Carrier and more. We'll recommend the right equipment for your home and budget rather than pushing one label.

What areas do you serve?

All of New Jersey and New York. We're based in Monmouth County and regularly work towns like Marlboro, Manalapan, Freehold, Howell, Colts Neck, Holmdel, Middletown, Long Branch, Old Bridge and Edison, plus Brooklyn and Staten Island in New York. We'll also work near the Pennsylvania line for large developments.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Bel Air Systems holds a New Jersey Master HVAC License plus Master HVAC Refrigeration, and we're fully insured. We're a family-owned contractor serving NJ and NY since 1998.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?

We return calls quickly and aim to get out for no-heat and no-cool calls the same or next day. Honest and reliable beats a promise we can't keep.
